Queenslander Wayne Jorgensen is busy building his Walkabout
as a combined family dayboat and solo expedition craft for
use in some of the huge national parks along the coast of
north east Australia. Here is a shot of the afterdeck showing
the mizzen mast step ( the alloy tube) the tiller mount and
the yoke that carries the steering lines back to the rudder
stock. You can see the tiller line tunnel down the centerline,
the cave lockers each side of that and the boomkin that carries
the mizzen sheet out aft of the transom.
